The Voice UK: Kaiser Chiefs’ Ricky Wilson confirmed as fourth judge

Ricky Wilson has been confirmed as the fourth and final coach on The Voice UK.

The Kaiser Chiefs frontman will join fellow new mentor Kylie Minogue and the returning Sir Tom Jones and Will.i.am on the panel.

“Who doesn’t want to spend their Saturday night with Kylie Minogue? I spent last winter yelling at The Voice, and both Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am were total superstars.

“I’m just lucky the Kaiser Chiefs have rubber stamped my temporary loan!” said the singer.

“Ricky is one of the UK music scene’s great frontmen. He knows all about performance and will complement the rest of the coaching line-up perfectly,” said Mark Linsey, Controller of Entertainment Commissioning.

Kaiser Chiefs scored a number one single in 2007 with ‘Ruby’, while they are also known for their tracks including ‘Oh My God’ and ‘I Predict a Riot’.

Emma Willis and Marvin Humes have also joined the show as new co-hosts, replacing Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates.

The Voice UK returns for a third series in January 2014 on BBC One.
